Customer Review Summary

As a member of a chamber choir with high artistic standards, I have been recording our concerts for several years. Initially, I used the Oktava MK 012 MSP6, but after experiencing some issues with network interference, I decided to invest in a Neumann KM184 mt Stereo Set. However, I found the Neumanns to be somewhat lacking in low-end response.

After consulting with an expert and comparing audio samples, I opted for the Soyuz 013 FET-M Black microphones instead, using them as the main microphones for our Christmas concert, while employing the Neumanns for soloists and the Oktavas as room microphones to capture the church’s acoustics.

The Soyuz microphones did not disappoint. From the initial listening tests, including a piano recording, I found them to offer a more balanced sound compared to the Neumanns. Overall, they provide a neutral and pleasant tonal quality.

This investment has proven worthwhile, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the Soyuz microphones. For my purposes—recording vocals in semi-professional settings within large spaces—I would choose them over the Neumanns without hesitation.
