Customer Review Summary

The Genelec 8341 AW monitors deliver an exceptional clarity of sound, making it easy to hear every detail with a silky smooth treble. The 3D imaging is remarkable, providing a sharper focus and a more defined listening experience. The build quality is impressive, and the aesthetic appeal of the white finish adds a touch of elegance to any studio setup.

Upgrading from other monitors, I found the bass response to be clearer and the mids and highs significantly crisper. While these monitors are superb, it’s worth noting that the performance does come at a premium price, which may lead some to consider alternatives that offer similar quality at a reduced cost.

The GLM system is essential for maximising the potential of these monitors, especially in mixing scenarios. Out of the box, the sound may not be as captivating, but the GLM kit truly enhances the performance, making the audio experience much more engaging. Pairing them with a subwoofer, such as the 7060APM, is advisable for a more balanced sound, although the sub may struggle under maximum load.

Although the monitors are fantastic for close-field listening and feature excellent auto-calibration, the absence of support for UNIX/Linux systems can be frustrating. Overall, the price reflects the extensive research and development, as well as the quality of manufacturing, particularly considering the high Finnish labour costs involved.

In summary, the Genelec 8341 AW is a stellar choice for anyone seeking high-quality audio monitoring, provided you are willing to invest in the necessary accessories to unlock their full potential.
