Customer Review Summary
I recently tested the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitor Pro White, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the overall sound quality is decent, they fall short when it comes to accurately mixing or listening to bass-heavy genres such as hip-hop or R&B.
One of the most significant issues I encountered was the uncontrollable resonance and vibration of the speakers. This problem persisted even at low volumes, starting around just 10%, and it occurred regardless of whether the sub-bass was prominent in the tracks. I ensured that my setup was correct, using an Apollo Solo sound card and carefully following calibration instructions, yet the distortion remained.
These monitors may be suitable for classical or acoustic music, but they are particularly unsuitable for modern genres that require precise low-end reproduction. This experience has been quite disappointing, and I would strongly advise potential buyers to consider their options carefully before making a purchase.
In summary, while the iLoud Micro Monitor Pro has some appeal, particularly in compactness, its performance for bass-oriented music leaves much to be desired.
