Customer Review Summary

The sE Electronics sE4400 microphone is undoubtedly one of the finest I’ve encountered. The sound quality is exceptionally clear, capturing even the tiniest details without any distortion. It has a solid and durable build, which gives me confidence in its longevity.

Setting it up was straightforward, and I’ve experienced no issues during my use. This microphone proves to be a reliable choice, especially for vocal recordings, consistently delivering excellent performance.

In terms of design, the craftsmanship of the sE4400 is impressive, particularly the design of the shock mount. However, I did find some limitations; it lacks a wide cardioid pattern, and the low-pass filters could be better chosen, as the 40 Hz -6 dB setting does not offer significant practical benefits.

Sound-wise, the sE4400 is balanced, with mid frequencies more pronounced compared to other models. However, boosting the high frequencies with an EQ can introduce a slight harshness, which is not as pleasing as the smoother high end of its competitors. Despite this, for anyone on a budget, the sE4400 stands out as a great microphone, offering remarkable quality for its price point. It’s a worthy investment for those who may not wish to spend significantly more on alternatives.
