Customer Review Summary

I recently upgraded my studio monitors to the ADAM Audio S3H, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their performance.

These monitors maintain the sound signature I loved from my previous S2X, but the soundstage is truly impressive, creating an immersive listening experience that feels like a wall of sound. The level of detail in the mid-range frequencies is astounding, revealing nuances in my reference tracks that had previously gone unnoticed.

While the S3H offers a lower frequency response compared to the S2X, I find that pairing them with a subwoofer enhances the mixing of bass-heavy genres, as the bass can feel slightly underrepresented in modern mixes. However, the clarity and articulation of the highs are exceptional, drawing compliments from anyone who hears them.

These monitors aren’t overly flattering; instead, they require some effort to optimise, but once dialled in, they deliver impressive results across various systems.

The build quality is solid, and features such as the AES/EBU input add to their professional appeal, especially when compared to competitors in the same price range. In terms of sound quality, the S3H manages to strike a balance with its smooth highs and well-defined mids, although some might find the high-end slightly pronounced compared to other brands.

Overall, the ADAM Audio S3H monitors are a fantastic choice for serious audio professionals, offering unmatched clarity and detail that are essential for mixing and mastering across all types of music.
