Customer Review Summary

The Warm Audio WA-CX24 is a strikingly beautiful microphone that certainly demands attention with its large and robust design, built to withstand heavy use. As a professional with extensive experience using over 150 microphones, I found its sound characteristics to be quite impressive. The capsules deliver a rich and vibrant sound, reminiscent of the renowned ELAM 251, particularly excelling in the smooth highs while offering less bottom end than a classic C12.

However, I did encounter some noise issues, which may be indicative of a faulty unit. While it can be slightly noisy, it still performs admirably for close-miked pop vocals, making it a suitable choice for modern recording scenarios. That said, I would hesitate to use it in settings requiring more sensitivity, such as overhead applications for string quartets.

In summary, the WA-CX24 shines in its aesthetic appeal and sound quality, particularly for vocal applications, but potential users should be aware of its noise levels and consider its suitability for their specific recording needs.
