Customer Review Summary
I recently had the opportunity to test the Sontronics DM-1T microphones, and I must say, the performance is impressive. The sound capture is clear and precise, rendering all the toms coherently without the need for excessive adjustments. The dynamics are excellent, and the low noise level adds to the overall quality. I have no regrets about my purchase.
However, I found the mounting system to be somewhat lacking, which led me to prefer using microphone stands instead. This aspect slightly detracted from the overall manufacturing quality.
Having acquired five of these mics based on a recommendation from our mixer, I can confidently assert that they deliver remarkable value for money. Both the mixer and the drummer are thoroughly satisfied with the sound and handling. The lifetime warranty offered by Sontronics is certainly a beneficial bonus.
As a drummer with a robust kit, having multiple microphones is essential, and I challenge anyone to find a static microphone with similar characteristics under £200. Initially, I considered the DM20 from Earthworks, but at £420 each, the Sontronics DM-1T truly stands out as an exceptional choice in this price range.
