Customer Review Summary
The Shure SM4 condenser microphone has truly exceeded my expectations. I was initially uncertain about its performance, but it has proven to be exceptional, delivering remarkable transparency when recording acoustic guitar and flawless results for vocals.
In comparison to other microphones, it stands out for its clarity on the guitar, even more so than a Sennheiser MD440, which, while warmer, does not match the SM4’s transparency. For vocal recordings, it comes impressively close to my tube microphone, although it cannot quite replicate the same warmth. Given its price point, this microphone offers outstanding value for money, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase.
