Customer Review Summary

Sennheiser MEB 114-S B is an exceptional microphone that has truly impressed me with its performance and build quality. Initially, I had no high expectations, especially since I hadn’t used boundary microphones before. However, after a few tests, I found the sound quality to be remarkable.

Placed conveniently on a sturdy table at a distance of about 40-50 cm, the microphone captures audio with significantly less background noise compared to other types I’ve used. The output is surprisingly loud and clean, with minimal self-noise, which is impressive for a microphone of this type.

The construction is solid and feels premium, aligning closely in sound quality with my Sennheiser shotgun microphones. This makes it easy to integrate into different setups without the need for extensive EQ adjustments—a major advantage when time is of the essence.

One of the standout features is the configurable button on the top, which can be set for various functions such as Push to Mute or Push to Talk. This versatility is excellent for video conferencing. However, I did encounter a couple of minor issues: the button requires significant force to engage, which could be challenging for those with less finger strength. Additionally, the sound produced when pressing or releasing the button can be picked up in recordings, which might be noticeable during frequent use.
