Customer Review Summary

I was genuinely surprised by the volume and dimensions of the Mackie CR8 BT speakers; they are quite impressive. Due to their size and the low-frequency absorption foams, I had to adjust their stands to make them fit comfortably in my space.

The build quality is commendable, featuring a protective grille that prevents damage to the silk dome during cleaning. There are additional buttons for sound options, and the wiring principles remain consistent with their smaller siblings, the CRX3, 4, and 5.

However, while the overall finish is neat, the Bluetooth button could use improvement, as it feels like a cheap plastic component that would benefit from a rubberised design instead.

As for the Bluetooth functionality, it doesn’t always connect immediately, which I found a bit frustrating compared to my JBL speakers. That said, the bass response is impressive enough that I don’t feel the need to invest in the Mackie subwoofer CR8S BT just yet, though I might consider it in the future.

The power is adequately defined between the highs and lows without straining the volume. As an amateur audio enthusiast, I find the price and product quality to be more than reasonable. The sound is superbly clear with strong bass, making it a perfect alternative to our traditional stereo system in the living room. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen-dining area, and now we can easily enjoy jazz, classical, rock, and more straight from our phones with excellent audio quality!

Overall, the wait for these speakers was worth it, as I am thoroughly impressed with their performance.
