Customer Review Summary
The ART TubeMix is an excellent mixing console that offers great value for money, thanks to its versatility and solid build quality. The unit is well-suited for various applications, including live performances, studio recordings, and rehearsals. With three mono inputs, one stereo input, and an effects insert, it provides ample options for routing signals.
The construction features a robust metal and wood chassis, giving it a vintage aesthetic that complements any home studio. The VU meters, although not illuminated, add a classic touch during recordings and the overall sound quality is impressively clean with minimal noise. The integrated EQ is effective, allowing for significant tonal adjustments, enhancing warmth and presence in the sound.
One of its highlights is the valve preamp, which adds a desirable warmth, although it is only available on two channels. While some may find the knobs slightly less premium, they function well enough for typical use. The unit is also class compliant, making it easy to connect to a computer without needing additional drivers.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The lack of a carrying case for transport is noted, and while the USB cable is mentioned in product details, it was not included in some instances. Additionally, the audio interface operates at a lower 16-bit resolution, which may not meet the expectations of more demanding users.
Nevertheless, the ART TubeMix remains a highly recommended choice for anyone looking for a compact, stylish, and capable mixer for home use or small live settings. Its combination of functionality and sound quality makes it a worthwhile investment.
