Customer Review Summary

The DPA ST2011C microphones are incredibly discreet and serve excellently as supplementary mics behind a pair of high-quality “Master” mics, such as the DPA 4006.

These mics deliver a neutral sound without any unwanted coloration, allowing the music to shine through effortlessly.

DPA has successfully revamped their range to offer affordability without compromising on quality. I absolutely love these mics; I’ve used them live for overheads on our drum kit and in the studio for acoustic guitar and double bass. The natural sound produced by my acoustic guitar with this setup is precisely what I have been searching for.

In all scenarios, these microphones excel, providing an open and natural sound, a good stereo image, and remarkably low noise levels, all within a super compact design.

While I would highly recommend these mics, it’s worth noting that purchasing shockmounts and a stereo bar is advisable, as these accessories are not included. This is the only reason I did not rate the product five stars.

In comparison to other models like the Neumann KM184 & KM185, Earthworks SR25, and Oktava 012, the DPA ST2011C stands out with its exceptional sound quality and versatility across various applications, including live performances and studio recordings.

Overall, these mics receive an absolute recommendation for anyone seeking outstanding audio performance.
